Order Guidelines

Payment
We are able to take Mastercard, Visa and Maestro, please fill in the details on the order form. We do need the address to which the card statements are sent as well as the delivery address if different. For European customers we are not in a position to take Euros at the moment and suggest the Visa or Mastercard payment system
Alternatively, best system of payment is by the " not to exceed..." cheque written out to Long Acre Plants. Simply write the words ‘not to exceed’ and the amount between the two parallel lines in the middle of your cheque. This is a safe method as the cheque cannot be filled out for more than your maximum, but can be for less.
Carriage Costs
For all of Britain to an imaginary line just north of Glasgow/Edinburgh we use a 24 hour courier service by ANC. The charge is £7.00 regardless of the size of the order. North of here plus Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight & Northern Ireland the carriage has a £8.00 supplement. To all European destinations including Eire and the Channel Islands we will have to quote on each order. As a working estimate it is likely to be around 25% of the order value to most EU countries. Bare rooted bulbs can sometimes be sent by post for less. Contact by email for details seems to work best.
Collecting Orders
We encourage you to collect your order. As an incentive we offer 5% off the order total. This applies only to postal or web orders which have been received by us, complete with payment details, at least 10 days prior to collection.
We are very busy at the beginning of the week despatching orders, please schedule your visit on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday when we are open to visitors. Plants will be packed in open top boxes for collection.
Delivery
Please give the following information on the reverse side of the order form:
Dates when you will be away and/or weeks when you would like your order delivered. We will do our best to meet these requirements.
Instructions if a parcel can be left in a porch or greenhouse for example - unfortunately not all of us can work from home! Or an alternative address if the parcel can be delivered to your workplace.
Directions if you live in a remote or just difficult to find location, a map can be attached to the outside of parcels for complicated instructions.
Letting you know when to expect your plants
We like to notify you by phone but may send a postcard if your order will be delayed for more than a couple of weeks.
