LILIUM (Liliaceae) We’re giving most of the lilies a rest this year. Those listed below will be available from the nursery or via mail order when dormant. LILIES 

Lilium auratum Legendary Japanese species. Best in pots but will take some shade. By nature a woodland edge plant in volcanic soils. Very large flowers, white with gold bands and spots. £4.00
Lilium ‘Bellingham Hybrids’ AGM Basically a robust L. pardalinum type hybrid. Easy, mostly reds some oranges. £4.00
Lilium 'Black Beauty' The lovely dark red flowered hybrid, lime tolerant. Very permanent and easy in the garden. I have seen clumps that have been left undisturbed for 20 years on alkaline river silts. £3.00

Lilium hansonii Species lily with thick petalled yellow flowers from Japan, in the martagon group. These are three years old and should flower this year £5.00
Lilium henryi AGM Easy long lived garden lily. Rich orange turk’s caps in August. £3.00
Lilium lancifolium Tiger lily, the true thing not the changeling coming out of Holland which seems to be ‘Fire King’. 3.00
Lilium leichtlinii A clear yellow turk’s cap of easy culture. Flowers a good size with dark reddish purple spots.. £3.50
